As an early-career researcher, she has published work about Down syndrome in the Medical Research Lounge (MRL). Her leadership is characterized by strategic vision, advocacy, empathy, and collaboration, driving impactful change.

is a co-founder and Deputy Chief Executive Officer (DCO), is an inspiring force within the organization. With her medical expertise and strategic thinking, she plays a crucial role in shaping the organization’s direction and ensuring its impactful initiatives reach communities across Ethiopia.
Bezawit Andualem,
is a co-founder and Chief Financial Officer (CFO), ensures all resources are used transparently and effectively. Her financial expertise underpins the organization’s sustainability and growth, allowing it to expand its reach and impact.
Dr. Metasebiya Zewdu, is a Co-founder and Chief Operating Officer (COO), has worked closely with individuals with Down syndrome and is a strong advocate for disability rights. She oversees the organization’s daily operations, ensuring projects are implemented effectively and align with the organization's goals. Her leadership and passion for disability rights contribute greatly to the success of our work.
Nuhamin Abera, is the internal auditor, brings exceptional oversight to Down Syndrome Ethiopia. she ensures that operations and finances adhere to high standards of transparency and accountability, safeguarding the organization’s reputation and trust.
